Welcome to Choice Homes by Shawn Bornman, Inc. We are a new home builder from New Paris, IN. We have been building homes in the Goshen area since 1997. Since that time we have grown both in size and area that we cover. You can find our over 300 homes in Goshen, Nappanee, New Paris, Milford, Warsaw and Millersburg.
We build affordable spec housing using quality materials. You can see the difference in our 2x6 walls, 90+ furnaces and Anderson windows. Quality cabinets, trim and lighting, along with upgraded floor coverings round out our well-built homes. We also install egress windows in the basement whenever possible for future basement finishing.
Meet our staff:
Shawn Bornman - President and boss of the company.
Shawn is a strong presence on every single job site. He pays attention to every detail of the building process and has over 20 years of building experience. Each house has his personal approval. He also does a walk through with each new owner to show details and provide instructions for using the features in the home. Shawn will also come back at the one year mark to go over the house and make the necessary adjustments.
Shawn Jones – Right hand man
Little Shawn, as he is called by most of the workers, has been with Choice Homes since 2002, first as a sub-contractor and then as a full time employee. Shawn organizes the sub-contractors and makes each job run smoothly. Shawn is a hands on manager and does much of the detail work on each home.
Melissa Bornman – Office manager
Melissa is married to Shawn and runs the office. She handles the phone calls and fields questions from buyers and home owners. She also handles any warranty work that needs scheduled. Melissa also oversees all accounts payable and receivable.
Rachel Rhoades – Office staff
Rachel has been working in the office at Choice Homes since 2004. She has many duties including phone calls and data entry. Rachel has organized a system that keeps the office running smoothly. She is also a full-time student at Goshen College.
